All species now have the most up-to-date county presence information from present online database updates, museum records, and latest literature publications. Maps will also update in real time as new county observations are added.
Do you want to help contribute citizen science, inform researchers, and update distribution maps? You can now submit your observations of reptiles and amphibians at https://msherps.com/home/record/ . Data is securely submitted to the growing HerpMapper database, which is utilized by researchers, nonprofits, and government wildlife agencies around the world. Over time, gaps in the website’s state distribution maps can be filled.
Thanks to everyone for the input so far on the site update; we’re hoping with these updated range maps this website can be an even more valuable resource education.
